Who am I?

For those who still know me from the beginning days of my ‘hobby’ I am called RoelG. But in real life my name is simply Roel. This as the time of simple websites where we would communicate on the status of projects and share knowledge everyone needed a handle and (believe it or not) my name was already taken on a classic polo website (polo86c.nl).
 I live close to Rotterdam, The Netherlands and I have owned multiple polos type 1 and 2. Although my dailies have moved on, my love for VW is still there in classic cars.

I have since downsized my collection to one. Living in the city more is simply not feasible due to high house prizing. Also, the time and budget for more than one project is simply not there.

Leaving only one car in my possession. An original Dutch Volkswagen polo 1f GT from 1980. Sadly it was not without issues and a restauration, given its rarity and the fact it is my last one, was in order.

This website is a log of this process as well as a way to keep everyone posted throughout.
