The polo arriving home

January 2026 – The polo just arrived home. Ready for rebuild. I couldn’t be happier.

Last inspection before transport

December 2025 – Before the expected transport to the private garage for rebuild. The polo was inspected for the first time.

It has been a while…..

Since finding the car on the scapryard for 850 euros, buying it sight unseen, it has been a long road. Covering two seperations, the sale of all other classic cars in my possession, and the growing up of two more kids.

I guess it is like it often goes with these kind of projects.

But after my mother (who so lovelingly let the polo stand in her garage for years) had to move, it was a good reason to get things going again. And now, I can’t wait to start working on it myself once more.

If you want to know what has been done, and where I am now, don’t hesitate to read up on the project.
